Abstract: The deep integration of digital intelligence technologies injects new momentum into enhancing the quality and effectiveness of Ideological and Political Education (IPE) in higher education. Empowered by digital intelligence, IPE in universities can undergo paradigm transformations from one-way and closed to diverse and open, from extensive operation to precision-based collaboration, and from single-channel communication to matrix-style linkage. However, the inherent tension between technological logic and educational logic may give rise to three realistic risks: value defocusing in the educational field, decision-making deviation in the educational system, and communicative disorder in educational carriers. To address these challenges, efforts should focus on maintaining the value core to construct a new educational field characterized by technology empowerment grounded in educational principles; calibrating governance standards to develop a new educational system featuring evidence-based decision-making and resilient growth; and building a shared communicative order to shape a new educational carrier upholding algorithmically beneficial and ecologically sound principles. These measures aim to achieve deep integration between technological application and the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, thereby providing theoretical grounding and practical pathways for the digital transformation of IPE in Chinese universities in the new era.
